Set in a beautiful Leicestershire rural location, just 4 miles from the market town of Oakham, we have everything you need for the perfect day out. 

 Built within an original 1818 Victorian walled garden, formerly part of Cold Overton Hall, the nursery was founded by Fred and Ivy Gates when they created a market garden back in 1948. Still very much a family business we are proud to say that many of the traditional values the business was built on are just as important to us today.

Our traditional farmhouse style Tea Shop serves light lunches, morning coffee or afternoon tea and if you are thinking of bringing the whole family you won’t want to miss our childrens’ play area – they’ll love it!
